* Integrantes: Mario del Río (Voz, guitarra, sintetizadores), Gabriela Méndez (Guitarra), Kali Burton (Bajo), Ignacio Fontán Blanch (batería). * Género: Rock Gótico, Post apocalyptic synth rock. * Biografía: The Darkstar Calling es el resultado de la creatividad del compositor y multi-instrumentalista Mario del Río. Explotando sus más de veinte años de experiencia creativa, Mario ha mezclado exitosamente una ríca base rítmica con potentes elementos de hard rock. El resultado es un tejido musical capaz de transmitir una amplia variedad de sentimientos. El lienzo musical es pintado con letras profundamente personales que nos llevan de la mano a través de la lucha interna diaria del artista, haciendo a The Darkstar Calling un prjecto íntimo, casi autobiográfico.
La banda cuenta hasta el momento con dos EPs "The wasteland wanderer" (2018) y "The mystifying ways of pain" (2020) y un sencillo "To lose something you've never had: a collectin of remixes" (2020). El sencillo cuenta con la participación de las bandas Dark-O-Matic (Grecia/Italia), End of New (Irlanda/Polonia), Lost Messages (Italia), Projekt Ich (Alemania) y Proper Time (México).
